Yesterday, Yahoo emailed to say that Yahoo Photo accounts would be closing in September. This wasn’t surprising since Yahoo bought flickr some time ago.

Options to transfer photos included flickr, photobucket, Kodak Gallery, Shutterfly and Snapfish. I chose flickr since I’m definitely ‘flickr addicted’ (I didn’t realize that Time Magazine has called flickr “completely addicting”, but I do agree).

Polly, Linda, Ken

The Capital Region BOCES School Library System Tech Camp is coming up soon! Tuesday and Wednesday July 10-11. Linda Fox, Ken Petersen and I met today to go over some final scheduling details.

Ken will be our evening speaker and will talk about using and creating social networks in school settings. One tool he’s planning to cover is Ning, a free space where you can create your own social network. Create a network for your library, classroom, school, anything you can think of.
